| Blind Packed Toy
Blind box refers to packaging that completely hides its contents. Blind boxes are identical in every way and nobody-including us- can tell which toy is inside.
Why blind packed?
Toys are blind packed to make it more exciting when you receive them and open them - not knowing which toy you have.
Some toys are blind packed because in a series of limited edition toys there will be some that will be very rare – e.g. the wooden Dunny in Series 2009 by Travis Cain made a record £800 on ebay in 2010. Not a bad mark-up for a toy that originally cost £5.95.
On the side of a blind boxed toy box, you will have the images of all the toys with the rare ones (or chases as they are called because everyone is chasing them) blacked out. The ratio of each toy will be on the boxes as well. So a toy may have a ratio of 3/50. E.g. the Joe Ledbetter
Dunny in the LA Dunny series, however this became one of the most iconic figures of the LA series and is now highly sought after.
The best thing…
About blind packed is opening your toy and finding you have the one you really wanted or you have just got the really rare one to add to your collection.
